Warranty goals of data security
The assurance goals of data security, often mistakenly reduced to the sub-area of IT security are:
- availability
- confidentiality and
- integrity
Data protection is not possible without data security
Data security is one of the central prerequisites for an effective data protection management system. Data breakdowns, unsecured servers, theft of unencrypted data media, or simply forgotten or untested backups can have a significant impact, even threatening the very existence of a company.
Data security is not (only) a task for IT managers
Even though IT managers are usually at the forefront of the task of data security, they are by no means the only ones responsible. Data security, like data protection, belongs in the core area of management.
Cooperation and support of the internal ISB
If an internal ISB has been appointed, we are happy to provide supporting activities within the scope of the respective agreement. Especially in case of a necessary DSFA according to Art. 35 DSGVO, such cooperation is mandatory.
